Audrey Ruark Redmond holds a Ph.D. of International Conflict Management from the School of Conflict Management, Peacebuilding & Development at Kennesaw State University. Dr. Redmond received her Master of Arts in Social Science, with an emphasis in Political Science, from Georgia Southern University as well as a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs, with an emphasis in Diplomatic and International Service, from Kennesaw State University.

In her current role at Georgia Military College, Dr. Redmond serves as Associate Vice President of Junior College Academics. She leads and manages academic operations for GMC's Main Campus, including overseeing faculty and course scheduling as the Academic Dean at the Junior College. Dr. Redmond also directs the academic component of the Academy Scholars program by collaborating with the military service academies and mentoring students as they prep at GMC.

Dr. Redmond previously worked at Georgia College & State University to engage students in recognizing and seeking out global points of view through intercultural competence education and resources. Her leadership was demonstrated both in-and-out of the classroom as an instructor and in piloting special projects and initiatives in her role as the Language Resource Center Coordinator in the Department of World Languages and Cultures. She created innovative international partnerships to engage students in co-curricular dialogue and oversaw a thriving academic peer support network of language tutors.

Dr. Redmond is experienced in teaching courses on Comparative Politics, Global Perspectives, American Government, and First-Year Experience. Her courses frequently utilize active learning, innovative technology, collaborative undergraduate research, and Community-Based Engaged Learning Projects (C-bEL). Her courses and programming actively engage global issues in local surroundings. Dr. Redmond consistently works to increase student engagement and is passionate about bringing global experiences to rural communities by leveraging university resources and partnerships.

Dr. Redmond's research agenda is focused on intergroup conflict, specifically polarization surrounding civic education. Her current research and book project explore the role of educators in delivering intercultural digital literacy curriculum to students in polarized post-conflict societies. This research compares the experiences of educators in Northern Ireland to those of educators in the American Deep South among others across the globe.

In addition to her academic work, Dr. Redmond is a registered neutral with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution. She previously helped launch and served as board president of The Middle Georgia Community Mediation Center Inc. a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides programs to support local conflict resolution. She spent four years as a regional organizer for a non-partisan advocacy organization working to address international development issues. Dr. Redmond’s enduring commitment to local growth and building capacity for good among the university community and Milledgeville and Baldwin County is a driving factor in both her academic and personal engagements.
